The following changes were made to ScribeFire between versions 3.1.1 and 3.1.2:
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug causing “apiObject is null” error on startup for some users.
If you are seeing an error like “Could not set up API Object for Blog type”, could you do me a favor and send me (chris@scribefire.com) the scribefire.sqlite file in your Firefox profile directory, as well as any performancing-*.xml files in the extensions/ or main directory of your profile? That would really help me in fixing this bug.
(Here is how to find your profile folder: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder )

I can’t put youtube videos on wordpress but it’s OK on blogger. What seem to be the problem?
October 16th, 2008 at 6:00 am
Well, everything seems to work well for the moment. I just can’t get ScribeFire to upload images so that the one on the blog is a small preview, and clicking it brings up the larger version. This feature did work prior to the update and I know blogger does it automatically in nearly all cases.
Good work on keeping this addon updated though!

Could not set up Api for blog type.Api object is null.
You’ve ruined it for me! I cannot use it at all!
requires password.

It has not worked for me for about two weeks now.
This didn’t solve it– I deleted it, will re-install, and if it still doesn’t work, I’ll either continue creating entries manually, or find a competing app. (Any ideas?)

“Could not set up API object for blog of type”
“ScribeFire startup error: TypeError: apiObject is null”
I don’t like to have any blog account configured to use ScribeFire. And now it don’t work if I don’t have a account blog configured, now if I close the ScribeFire, go away everything that I’ve written and I get these errors. Why? I just want to be able to “control c + control v” after writing in the ScribeFire… Sorry, I don’t understand.
Hasta luego and thanks for extension
