What is the use of ScribeFire QuickAds when I have Google Ads?
September 10th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Since scribefire has had so many updates - with the apparent purpose of forcing people to the website - I will be uninstalling the addon with no interest in ever putting it back.

I have used ScribeFire for a while, even before Windows Live Writer started getting popular. I was reluctant to try Microsoft’s software even thought it’s free. However, after experiencing a series of updates in ScribeFire, which aren’t really necessary for me, now I get the same feelings same as Lazarus.
The size of this extension has also grown quite a lot during these updates. Today, when I started it and found myself to be greeted by ScribeFire QuickAds window. That’s it. I was starting to look for other replacement. Maybe I will try Windows Live Writer instead.

Still can’t get this to run smoothly - how long is it reasonable to wait to see ads after installing? Google ads are showing up immediately but SF ads just don’t want to play?

I hate PayPal monopoly. Can’t you support _also_ some other payment system?

Installed QuickAds, but do not see much difference from Google …
Statistics from Google is very convenient.

it would be really great to have QuickAds
But since I joined the beta I’ve not been able to connect to the system even a single time, I always get error 500
Can’t be that I have visits on the ads and don’t get anything because it just is “out of order”.
ScribeFire itself thought is very nice.

I too anxiously signed up and haven’t been able to activate my QuickAds account since Friday.
I get the same Error 500.
Kinda scary it they are going to be servicing ads.
BUT, I’ve kept my foot in the door with YPN, so I’m will to give the benefit of the doubt.
It really sounds like a great program.
