Just a heads-up that in the coming weeks, we will be featuring posts from guest bloggers who will write on topics such as improving your blog, honing your writing skills, and other topics central to blogging. We hope that these posts will allow you to use ScribeFire to blog more efficiently as well as start some discussion around topics other than bug reports ;-). Look for the first in this series of posts later today.

This is not a very good idea IMHO.
The SF blog should focus on the product.
There are too many good sites out there which cover the metablogging subject perfectly.
Having more general blogging subjects in the SF feed will add ‘noise’ as I expect SF news and no general info.

Thanks! Subscring to the SF category only is what I am doing right now.
(Another possibility for users would be to filter the feed for the category or categories)
The next issue is the comment feed which is totally cluttered with not SF related comments now. What is positive for the SF blog readers and for the blog itself is pretty bad for people like me who are very (only) SF topic centric (regarding the feeds on the SF site).
What is even worse with the comment feed is that it is not possible to do a simple filter i.e. on tags or categories as the comment feed doesn’t have those tags
